CDIC Announces Plans for Next Generation Research Centre
At an event held on November 8, 2016, the CDIC announced its major donors and plans for construction of its next generation research centre.
The new centre will bring together three clinician scientists and their young team of 10-12 research coordinators, biostatisticians and data specialists. The modern workspace is specifically designed for productive collaboration and the exchange of ideas with features that include natural light, modern presentation aids, options for standing and sitting desks, and space for visiting researchers and students to plug in and work.
Now that three quarters of the $1.2 million cost has been pledged by private donors, construction is scheduled to begin in the New Year and will hopefully completed in time to accommodate next year’s influx of medical students working on research projects with CDIC. Learn more.
